Job description
- Advanced knowledge of machinery and equipment, electrical and hydraulic systems, and the mechanisms of a diesel engine
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
- Tractor and heavy equipment experience preferred
- Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
- Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
- Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software
- A valid driver’s license
- Good interpersonal skills
- Effective collaboration and communication skills
- Your own tools and equipment are preferred
- Additional training will be provided upon hiring
Pay is based on skills and level of experience.

JOB PURPOSE: To assist internal & external customers with parts & service needs. To ensure the accurate & timely flow of material in & out of the warehouse including daily receipts, shipping & cycle counts.
– Meet and assist the customer in a courteous & professional manner providing them with the information they need
– Ensure that incoming inventory is stocked in the correct location
– Demonstrates behaviors consistent with STEC’s values in all interactions with customers, coworkers & vendors

– Assist internal & external customers by researching part numbers and processing orders
– Responsible for accuracy of incoming & outgoing orders
– Assist with maintaining an accurate inventory by performing regular cycle counts & annual inventories
– Assist service department with repair order functions
– Heavy lifting required, objects weighing more than 50 pounds
– Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe & efficient warehouse
– Contribute to organization’s team effort by accomplishing special projects & tasks
– Able to communicate both verbally & written
– Able to prioritize tasks & responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
– Experience with a computerized inventory system
– Daily purchasing & inventory management of materials, parts & maintenance supplies required for the Warehouse
– Maintain data & files to track and support inventory of supplies and parts
Purchasing: Maintain integrity & tracking of all purchase requisitions from approval through reconciliation
Vendor Management: Determine the best price with vendors relating to spare parts, materials and maintenance supplies. Request quotes on all parts, materials, supplies or items needed to support the business. Track vendor performance and ongoing service to determine best resources for our department. Use the current system in place to maintain tracking & data integrity
Budget & Accounts Payable: Track & maintain records to support budget controls. Track and file all information including invoices, payment statements, documentation reflecting all invoices & payments made for our partners & vendors.
Inventory Management: Track data & inventory of parts, materials, maintenance supplies & anything needed to support the maintenance & facilities department. Log in/ out all parts & equipment; restock all parts and equipment, tools for the maintenance department. Send equipment out for repair & calibration as required.
Receiving Process: Receive parts for the maintenance & facilities department. Maintain documentation for receivables & ensure inventory process integrity

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
– Strong understanding of the equipment and maintenance supplies required in all aspects of the parts and service department
– Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, & analytical skills
– Comfortable working with numbers and basic accounting skills
– Must be able to utilize PPE when necessary
– Must possess the necessary hand and motor skills needed to pull & stock parts
– Ability to work without direct onsite supervision
Requisite Education & Experience/ Minimum Qualifications:
– High school diploma or GED
