Fraise Mowing & Turf Stripping Solutions
When natural turf requires more than routine maintenance, fraise mowing provides one of the most effective methods for surface renovation. By removing unwanted organic material, weeds, and worn turf, fraise mowing prepares fields for overseeding, resodding, or complete surface renewal.
At STEC Equipment, we offer professional fraise mowing equipment designed to help golf courses, sports fields, sod farms, and turf managers complete renovation projects efficiently while minimizing downtime.
An Efficient Approach to Turf Renovation
Fraise mowing (sometimes spelled fraze mowing) is an aggressive renovation practice that removes a controlled layer of turf and organic material from the playing surface using a rotating cutting rotor.
Unlike traditional mowing, fraise mowing removes accumulated thatch, organic matter, weeds, and unwanted grasses while creating a clean, uniform surface ready for the next stage of the renovation process.
Depending on the application, operators may remove only a shallow layer to manage organic buildup or perform deeper surface removal during full-field renovations.
Precision with the GKB Combinator
The GKB Combinator has become one of the industry’s most trusted fraise mowers thanks to its versatility and durable construction. Its patented GKB CombiRotor allows operators to change blade configurations for a variety of maintenance practices without changing machines.
Depending on the rotor configuration, the Combinator can perform:
– Fraise mowing
– Verticutting
– Turf stripping
– Synthetic turf infill removal (with brush rotor)
Available blade options allow operators to tailor the machine for everything from routine surface maintenance to complete field renovation projects.
